Uses |
1.
Ferrous Chloride is used for colour removal in six Common Effluent Treatment Plants in Tirupur.
2.
All the bi-chromate industry is regularly using our product FeCl2, to convert high poisonous hexavalent chromium in their solid waste to trivalent chromium.
3.
Ferrous Chloride finds application in treatment of effluent from Breweries and Distilleries as per advice from KSPCB, one of the reputed distilleries in the State used our Ferrous Chloride and reduced the BOD level from 3 lakhs to less than 100 ppm against the standard of 2500 ppm.
4.
Treatment of effluent from bleaching and dyeing units - Ferrous Chloride readily undergoes oxidation in presence of residual chlorine from Hypochlorite or from Hydrogen Peroxide used for bleaching and dyeing. The Ferric Chloride thus formed readily hydrolysis to Ferric Hydroxide at any pH above 2.3 in a gelatinous form and adsorbs any precipitate formed by the coagulative action of the electrolyte, collects them and separates easily.
5.
Treatment of effluent from leather Tanneries - during chrome tanning of leather, chromium in the form of chromate gets into the effluent and Ferrous Chloride reduces it into trivalent form which gets precipitated out at pH 5.3 and above.
